Laser cladding is a process to apply metal and metal-ceramics coatings using a laser as tool for precise impact of base and an additive materials.

The laser beam in a very thin top layer melts base material and an additive metal or metal-ceramics material compositions to create a protective coating.

Main advantages of the process:

  • Strong metallurgical bond with the base material;
  • Minimal thermal impact without structural or geometrical damage to the base component;
  • Very low dilution between base material and additive composition what leaves in coating  excellent initial properties of additive metal or metal-ceramics composition;
  • Precise thickness control.
